After an uneventful (and sleepless) night, the last thing I was looking forward to this morning was the sound of my clock radio. It is funny how the world just sometimes likes to give you a little nudge...

This morning at 5:30 when those invisible airwaves crackled to life I heard myself. At first I was sure I was imagining it and began to mouth along with the words. Then it hit me, all at once -- I was singing along with myself on the radio. I was on the radio.

I really cannot describe how I felt at that time. It was just... this surge of emotion came over me. People have told me how amazing I am, how they wish they could be as successful and popular as me. I know I am famous, both as a prosecutor and a musician... But this morning was the first time I actually felt famous.

I lay there in my bed; listening to my own voice, the steady wail of my guitar and the sound of my band backing me up. I do not know why it has taken so long for this to hit me but it finally has...

Also, D, again -- I can look into canceling a few shows when you start in at the academy if you want. The work load there is bound to be pretty intense, I cannot see you performing well on stage after a hard day with police training and football right after (we will still be having band practices on the regular days, I just do not want to overload you so early, ja? After a few weeks you might be able to juggle your schedule better).

Okay that is enough business-related... Time to talk about me.

Got my package from my old friend in Germany! Klaus really knows what I need -- sent me a few packages of gummis (I noticed one of them is already missing, Daryan). He also sent me back that book I left behind when I moved -- it has taken a year, but I finally have my copy of Die unendliche Geschichte back. In English, I think it is called "The Neverending Story"? Hm, there was a tiny Fräulein here on the Livejournal a few months ago asking for book recommendations... I wish I had remembered this one! I got a few other things from him too; a CD in a language even I do not know (the title is written with a leaf, a few wavy lines and a man falling down. Guess it is some kind of cipher but clearly not something I can Google with ease, ha ha ha) and a few little guitar trinkets I might put on my keychain (the heart-shaped one my Fräulein gave me back in February)

Oh yeah, speaking of my little mausi, Ema is home! She was in England or something. I am very happy to be seeing her again -- I missed her a lot... Even though, ah, truth be told, Fräulein... I did not notice you were gone until about three weeks ago. Sorry. You are not allowed to be mad at me for that though, you are the one who left without telling me! But I have forgiven you already~ but only because you are cute~

Jürgen was a friend of mine in school over in Germany (he was starting his first year when I was in my third, he was a pretty good friend.) and I am amazed that he has already heard of the Gavinners! He will definitely be spreading it around my old circle of friends.

I need to go take Vongole for another walk soon. When she gets done chewing her bone. I cannot wait until Kris gets back, I have taught Vongole all kinds of new tricks.

[[WHOA BACKDATED. This took place the night of JULY 4TH it's just taken forever to get through because I'm slow and then Apollo got distracted and then we forgot about it and then she remembered and I was too out of it to notice anything and NOW IT'S DONE.

A little backstory is required regarding the events of THE PROM.

Just over half-way through the prom, Daryan called Klavier, told him about Apollo getting a bit close to Ema. Klavier showed up, crashed the prom, took Ema outside and the two had a chat, ended up making up about their little disagreement. Ema and Klav went back into the prom, finding Daryan messing with Apollo, Ema asked Apollo for one more dance, cos she was going to let Klavier take her home now. Apollo was understandably bitter and Klavier was happier than an axolotl painted up like a mudkip.

It is the weekend. Why am I awake at half-past five in the morning?!

It has been a long and tiring week. Very tiring. I canceled two practices with the band -- two. That is how hard I have been working. Ja, I know -- me? Working? I know I have a tendency slack off just a tiiiiny, tiny bit sometimes, but when work is to be done (and when several of our prosecutors are out for various reasons and the chief decides I get to do some mandatory overtime...) I always lace up my boots and get on top of it all!

Ahh~ the weekend is so nice... Oh, there was an earthquake last weekend that I am sure you are all quite aware of. Kris was trapped in a supermarket or something and I got to bring my puppy to the station for a while. She chewed the leg off a desk. Kris can I take Vongole again sometime? I want to take her to the park and teach her to catch a frisbee!

I suppose I should go shower, since I am currently awake and everything. Daryan should be getting up soon, he has American football practice in a few hours... He will probably need a ride.

So Fräulein... It has been a little while since we talked. Especially about what happened at the party. I have not had a chance to call you or anything (well, I have but I did not think you would appreciate a call at two in the morning, especially since you have exams coming up.)

I was a little excited that night. You will forgive me, ja~? Maybe we can do it again soon? Not in Daryan's van, of course.

It has been so long since I have actually written in here! I have just been so busy with everything!

As I am sure some of you know by now, The Gavinners got a recording deal! We are working on a proper CD to be released... I think in September? Gives me and Daryan some time to work on another few songs. However, we have already recorded a single! 13 Years Hard Time For Love should be hitting the radio pretty soon I would think... And then it goes to the stores right after! Ha ha, I am looking forward to our next time in the studio -- recording is fun!

We have a lot of gigs coming up soon as well (thank you, Fräulein Andrews!), I certainly hope we do not get too overwhelmed. Speaking of which, I spoke to the head prosecutor and he is giving me a bit of a lighter case load for the next little while, since I am still sorting out all this recording stuff. Herr Edgeworth, Fräulein von Karma? Hope you do not mind a few extra cases on your plates, ja?

Oh, Herr Payne -- there is a very ugly car in your parking space. I am going to request it get towed because it is bringing down the badass value of my bike. If it is your car, please tell me now. ... And move it into the street or something.
